About
Clare’s Dad began in August 2005 because I wanted in on the daddy blogging scene. More of my background is in Why I Write and Another Reason Why I Write. I began this project on another blogging website, but I moved to WordPress in September 2008. Only these two linked posts were carried over from the old site. (Although all of the old posts are saved for Clare.)
In August 2005, I was working full-time in theater management and production. One year later, I was home full time with my then four year-old daughter Clare. Today, I am the Executive Director of a children’s theater company in Connecticut. I also offer theater management and production consulting to theaters. In the past seventeen years, I’ve worked and trained in non-profit and commercial theaters on Broadway, Off Broadway, and in regional and community theaters in New York and Connecticut. I’m also a New York and Connecticut licensed attorney who has worked in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, entertainment law and appellate practice, although I don’t practice law any longer.
By far, the best job I’ve had—and will ever have—is being Clare’s Dad.
