Wordless Wednesday: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Finally I’m getting some pictures up from our vacation. We’ve been back less than three weeks, but I already feel like this vacation was months ago. Somehow, I also feel like we’ve just gotten back and I’m still scrambling to catch up on some things from before the holidays. I don’t really recommend a holiday vacation—we hurried to spend holidays with our families, hurried to pack for leaving late on Christmas Day, breezed through the vacation, and it all went much too fast.
Anyway, these pictures are from the two days we spent in Orlando before leaving on our Disney cruise. The animals are right outside Animal Kingdom Lodge—the hotel and not the park. Except for the flamingoes, the animal pictures were taken from our hotel room. The flamingoes were outside not far from the pool. The tree was in the lobby.
I’ll post more pictures soon. And by soon I mean that I’ll try to start posting more than once a week again.
Word(full) Wednesday: Two Birds, One Stone

Actually we haven’t seen a new post or new visitors around here in a while either. Since the meme involves posting a picture, I figured I’d save it for Wednesday and get up another Wordless (my version of it anyway) Wednesday post.
The meme goes like this:
- Go to your documents.
- Go to your 6th file.
- Go to your 6th picture.
- Blog about it.
- Tag 6 friends to do the same.
Like a few others doing this meme (Memers? Sounds like the parade guys with the crazy costumes.) I went to the sixth file in My Photos rather than My Documents. (If I went to My Documents you would have gotten a legal memo I wrote years ago.) The sixth picture in the sixth file is this:
That’s Time Square. I think Clare actually took the picture one hot day when we visited the city last summer.
I miss summers in the city. Way to make me feel good about January in Connecticut. Thanks, James.

I couldn’t decide which picture to post, so I’m making up my own rules for Wordless Wednesday again and giving you two.
The cruise was fantastic and so were the two days that we spent at Walt Disney World before the cruise. I couldn’t believe that we could step right up to the front of the stage show at Cinderella’s Castle on the day after Christmas. Don’t let that fool you though—within a couple of hours the park was packed.
